Torque has been Maria’s partner in crime since she rescued him from a basement at nine months old. This dog has been her heart and soul for nine years and is now in trouble.

Last weekend was a seemingly ordinary weekend. Torque and Hooptie came to play with Maria at Einstein’s dock event. Everything seemed fine until Monday morning, when he spiked a fever. A quick trip to the vet revealed enlarged lymph nodes, and by Wednesday, she had the devastating news her best friend has cancer.

If you’ve ever met Maria, you know she is the kindest, most giving human ever. Maria would give you the shirt off her back, even if she didn’t have one to spare.
